Ingredients
1/2 cup all-purpose flour2 teaspoons toasted wheat germ1/4 teaspoon baking soda1/4 teaspoon baking powder1/4 teaspoon salt1 egg1/2 cup buttermilk1-1/2 teaspoons vegetable oilButter and maple syrup
Preparation
In a bowl, combine flour, wheat germ, baking soda, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, beat egg; add buttermilk an oil. Stir into dry ingredients just until blended.
Pour batter by 1/3 cupfuls onto a lightly greased hot griddle; turn when bubbles form on top of pancakes. Cook until the second side is golden brown. Serve with butter and syrup.
