1-1/2 pounds ground beef1 medium green pepper, chopped1 small onion, chopped2 teaspoons sugar1-1/2 teaspoons all-purpose flour1-1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning1/2 teaspoon chili powder1/4 teaspoon salt1/4 teaspoon garlic powder1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce1-1/2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce8 hamburger buns, split
Preparation
In a large skillet, cook the beef, green pepper and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
Stir in the sugar, flour, seasonings, tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Spoon 1/2 cup onto each bun.
