Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened3/4 cup sugar3/4 cup packed brown sugar2 large eggs, room temperature1 tablespoon grated orange zest1 teaspoon vanilla extract3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda1-1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon3/4 teaspoon salt2 cups semisweet chocolate chips1 cup chopped walnuts
Preparation
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Beat in the eggs, orange zest and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in the chips and walnuts. Cover and chill for 2 hours or until easy to handle.
On lightly floured surface, roll out dough to 1/2-in. thickness. Cut with a lightly floured 3-in. round cookie cutter. Place 1 in. apart on greased baking sheets.
Bake at 375° for 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.
