Ingredients

1 can (28 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained1 cup chicken broth1/4 cup butter, cubed2 tablespoons sugar1 tablespoon chopped onion1/8 teaspoon baking soda2 cups heavy whipping cream

Preparation

In a large saucepan, combine the first six ingredients. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.

In the top of a double boiler or metal bowl, heat cream over simmering water; add to tomato mixture just before serving.
