Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened1/2 cup shortening1 cup packed brown sugar1/2 cup sugar2 large eggs, room temperature1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract3 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking soda1/4 teaspoon salt1-1/2 cups old-fashioned oats1 cup semisweet chocolate chips1 cup miniature marshmallows
Preparation
In a large bowl, cream the butter, shortening and sugars until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in the oats, chocolate chips and marshmallows; refrigerate until dough is chilled, about 30 minutes.
Roll tablespoons of dough into balls; place 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool for 1-2 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely.
