Ingredients

1 cup butter-flavored shortening1 cup sugar2 large eggs1 teaspoon vanilla extract2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking soda1 teaspoon ground cinnamon1 teaspoon ground cloves3 medium ripe bananas, mashed2 cups quick-cooking oats1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation

In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon and cloves; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in bananas, oats and chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes. Immediately remove cookies to wire racks to cool.
