Ingredients

1 cup butter, softened1 cup sugar1 cup packed brown sugar2 large eggs, room temperature1 teaspoon vanilla extract2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking soda1/2 teaspoon baking powder1/2 teaspoon salt2 cups old-fashioned oats2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation

In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in oats and chocolate chips.

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 11-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on wire racks.
