Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter1/2 pound ground turkey1 medium onion, chopped1 medium green pepper, chopped2 cups water1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce1 cup uncooked long grain rice2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce1/2 teaspoon chili powder1/2 teaspoon dried thyme1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optionalBlack pepper to taste
Preparation
In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the ground turkey, onion and green pepper; cook until no longer pink and vegetables are tender, breaking into crumbles. Add all of the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until rice is tender, about 30 minutes.
